Midwives are trained and registered health care providers who care for you and your baby during pregnancy, birth, and after birth.
In BC, midwifery care is paid for by the government.
Midwives are available 24/7 for urgent medical concerns while you are in care.
We provide prenatal medical care for you during your pregnancy.
This includes regular check-ups, ultrasounds, bloodwork, referrals to specialists if needed
and emotional support.
You can email us as soon as you find out you are pregnant.
You do not need a referral.
We monitor your labour, offer exams, and deliver your baby.
We work closely with doctors, nurses, and other specialists if extra care is needed.
You may choose to give birth at home or hospital.
Our midwives can help you decide where to have your baby, based on your health and how your pregnancy is going.
After your baby is born, our midwives will see you every day at the hospital until you go home.
If you have a home birth, we offer those immediate postpartum visits at your home.
Our midwives offer home visits often until you are ready to come back to clinic.
During these visits we monitor your health and your baby’s health. We support feeding, healing, and emotional well-being.
We provide care for you and your baby for 3 months.

Your midwives monitor your baby's health and development.
We support you with feeding and caring for your baby.
If you choose to body/breast feed, we can have entire visits focused on this support.
Our midwives work alongside you, your family, and your support people.
Care is respectful, non-judgmental,
and grounded in trust and partnership.
You are the decision-maker in your care.
Our midwives take time to explain options, answer questions, and respect your values, culture, and lived experience.
